Ear hole cutouts?
I was sort of sold on the notion that TTS masks will look like the catalog shots provided with the pre-sale. No ear cuts on the Catalog shot... Doesn't even look like the same ear?
Doesn't even look like the same size mold (granted, angle and position of the blank could be playing tricks with my eyes) Is there an official size on these yet, I've heard many say 24, these look very large? Am I missing something here? Am I overtired? Not trying to spoil the party... I hate ear cuts... But I guess it's a safety requirement if they're on there.
Yes those are ear cutouts, but they are very small. We had to put them in there or else there would be no way in hell that we would pass USA Safety regulations.
As far as the ears being different than the picture, it's the same exact mask, from the same exact tooling, from the same exact molds. I think you are probably not used to seeing raw pulls unpainted, plus the natural light in the factory is washing out a lot of the detail.
As far as the size, again the mask is standard Adult mask size, which is right around 23 1/2". It should fit up to 24" without having to cut the mask higher in the back. If you need to make an adjustment, here are two Blogs I wrote on the topic:

If the ear holes are a deal breaker for you, than I'm happy to give you a refund. I am literally days away from being sold out and the backlog list for this mask before Halloween is a mile long.
Keep in mind that these masks are 100% hand made, which is why I am showing you the production pictures, hence there are going to be some variation, all be it, very small variation.
One of the things that Justin and I have worked very hard on over the past three years is to re-educate the market and make people aware of the fact that OUR masks are 100% hand-made and that they literally pieces of art. Each mask each being unique and that they warrant the prices that they are, they are not, cheep China garbage, like our other competitors masks. They are quality masks that will last a long time.
