Roy Burns Translucent Resin Bust

Postby auzorann » Thu Jul 06, 2017 8:45 pm

I thought I would share a picture of my Roy Burns bust. I started sculpting this a couple of months ago and just worked on it a little bit here and there. I molded the sculpt about a week ago and made this test casting in translucent resin. Let me know what you think.

You know, that is probably the best rendition of Roy that I've seen, currently. However, if I could make a suggestion, if there is anyway that you can widen the upper and lower eyelid ever so slightly, especially the lower eyelid, I really don't think it could be improved beyond that. All in all, good job. I would love to see you sculpt an accurate Part 8 bust, as that is another look that has not really been captured well enough, yet.

Part V (and Roy, especially) doesn't seem to get a lot of love. The only other Roy out there, that I can think of, is Bohr's and, although he is a great artist, I think you came much closer to Roy with your creation. I would very much like to see this guy dressed and donning one of your hocks.
