Is there a difference between the GP-7 and GP-7v?

The "V" model has a drinking tube. You can cut it off but try to get the regular GP-7.

Just thought id bump this incredible thread for all you Harry Warden's this year, I'm going as Harry at a Haunt here, you need to order your stuff now! I invite everyone to back and look at this thread, I can see it was a good time back then! Everyone was helping everybody here to get this costume together. Some of these cats arent around here anymore but a lot of info and some great pics are!
Special thanks to member Threat for turning me on to this from 2009! I was looking back at some old threads and saw this incredible costume he made. Believe it or not when the original came out in 81 I went as Harry Warden for Halloween in 82! A small one  The mask was a lot different then, with the big eyes, oh man it brings back a lot of memories to reassemble this costume this year. I wish every day was Halloween! :D :myers:

My costume is almost complete, many mods to the GP7 mask were needed, they are almost complete. Still waiting on a wheat lamp light cover and this is going to be one hell of a costume!

Welcome to the thread man! I can tell you right now that you will find a ton of information in here. This is where I got my start when putting together my costume back in 2009. I know I've done my fair share of contributing, along with a lot of others, in here. :-)

Now your belt, is that on of Beth's leather belts? I'm kind of guessing that it's not. If that's the case you should order one from her now! That way she has plenty of time to get yours made, sent off to you and then you'll have enough time to dye it to the color you need it to be.

Good luck on your journey my friend, if you stay patient you'll have a "killer" costume when it's all finished. If you need any help don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks James and welcome back! I learned so much from your guys info here, especially yours :D I've been studying this thread for months! I've talked to Jeff from headless asylum who owns some of the screen used items. I've modified the front hose to sctually go inside the mask (thank god for the dremel!) And I've yet in my 4 month search on ebay to find a wheat lamp that works (under $150) so what i figured is to purchase a new round led light that mounts to the cap and glue the red cover over it  I'll still use the wheat lamp cord and batt pack for authenticity.
as far as the belt goes, I've got so much $ tied up in myers conversions on the way right now I cant afford one of those, but I did purchase a real miners belt (see pic) and painted it black for a primer, then will either go simulated leather covering, or just paint it brown.
Thanks a lot James you were a big inspiration on me deciding to pull the trigger on the costume this year! :drinkers:
Feel free to post any pointers that u see that may help.
