Hannibal Restraint Mask WIP

Postby puckface » Fri Nov 25, 2011 3:05 pm

Hey guys, thought I'd share a few quick shots with ya. I've been wanting to convert one of these for YEARS, but never got around to it. This was made from my standard hockey mask mold. I simply tried plugging the holes and trimming/drilling it differently. It's actually pretty comfortable! ha!

I will finish it here as soon as possible. Just gotta find some nice straps and paint it up. OH, and add the bars! Hope you dig it so far.

You planning on making these accurate to Silence of the Lambs or Hannibal?

Looks great BTW.

I really wasn't planning on total accuracy, just somewhat close to the style we see in the films. I am, however, giving it the SOTL color scheme rather than the green mask from Hannibal.

Here's some progress so far. Just a really fast wash because a lot will be scratched and scuffed off anyways. I picked up some cool strap connectors today, too. Should really set it off. Gonna add the bars later. Thanks for the comments guys! And Josh, glad you dig the straps

Thanks Mike! And Jo, that's the lady catcher smile. They see that, they come running. (or GO running)

Here's the final product. Added the bars and a bit of blood for realism. Forgive my goofy faces towards the bottom

Great job Puck. I knew it would be cool.....and it is. I forgive the goofy faces, because even when I have a full head mask on I make faces when people take pics of me. LOL.

This looks awesome Puck! Great work man. Love the paint app, especially the blood. Subtle and not overdone.
