Curiousity i have with the Hero

Ok,the first thing that's playing on my mind here is,did the Hero get some hair added at some stage,we can see clearly in the first shot of Dick from back in "81" from a "H2" still' the mask has severely lost much of it's hair at the back yet fast forward to around "96" with it here in the 'Sean Clark Vid' and it's miraculously transformed and has a thick bunch of hair at the back,also there has been questioning over had it been repainted at some stage,but Dick denies this and said it's never been repainted in the time that it was in his possession,and my final bit of Curiousity is what are those three marks around the neck in the 96 cap under the needle hole and one mark to the right of the needlehole,they appear to be smaller needle holes or at least the two below the Original Needle hole do.

Good questions. The mask just looks totally different all together. Between the lighting, old age, rotting, mishandling, etc, it could be anything.

Could it have been teased outward? Maybe a clearer pic would help determine, if that is, indeed more hair.

The best i have is the video here,and looking at it there seems significantly more hair on the back area from that leftside profile of the mask.

Yes, now I see. It does look like there was more hair added. The new hair added looks darker too.

The marks on the neck are due to a piece of wood which was placed inside the mask and adhered there to hold the needle in place in H1. This entire area had rotted right off, and when my chum Andrew S held the hero in his hands this piece was literally lying next to the mask. Actually in Josh's interview vid this piece is evident.

Yeah that extra hair is definitely bizarre though-

Dealing with this hair in it,s raw form and on to the mask I can say it can be compacted very easily and we all know from owning these masks, that hair on the hero was no accident. No hair just ends up like that .Totally pre meditated and styled fairly often Guarantee but it,s a cool mystery. Good eye

Yeah you can see in the first pic there,s a dread on that left side,That,s a bunch of hair in that compacted piece that would make that much hair if combed and it looks poof like it would. My opinion which isn,t much lol I have added hair after the fact 2 though so hell it,s possible 2

I was told a piece of rubber, same stuff used for tires was added to hold the needle in place. This caused a chemical reaction to the latex as the years went by and caused that area to rot off.

So many stories so much mystery....all over a mask,but that's what makes it so exciting and intriguing,could get boring if we acutally found out the true facts about everything!! but then again i don't think anything would ever get boring when it relates to the Hero
