New Member...mask 1 on pre order

Hello

I am new to the site but I have been buzzing around on it for months. I am male and in my late twenties and have an affinity for horror movies. Growing up I was mainly into slasher flicks and zombie movies. Lately, I feel an over-saturation of all things zombie and no one seems to be doing anything great with the genre. My personal favorite is the '78 Dawn. But I have always been a huge fan of slashers as I grew up with them. Something drew me toward Michael Myers. Maybe it was the devoid, expression-less mask, the visual style, the music, the time of year that everyone is entitled to one good scare, who knows....but Halloween has always been my favorite movie and series in horror.

I have a decent collection on blu ray started and a Samsung 7000 series LED if anyone out there is a videofile junkie. I don't have any MM masks at the moment but I am happy to say that I have a Halloween 2 mask on pre order from Trick or Treat Studios. I will post pics when I get it in July. I also plan to have some coveralls and a nice replica blade by then for a complete pic (and costume for Halloween '12). The coveralls shouldn't be an issue as I plan on getting some Red Kaps but I am having some trouble finding a blade. I have a feeling that I am going to end up with a NAG one way or another. The original movie is my favorite and my favorite mask...they seem to be the best looking in my opinion and every time I see one I want it!

I joined the site because I was spending a lot of time on here and am genuinely intrigued by all of this info and dedication to MM. I had no idea about masks and finishing etc. Not to mention coveralls. The information on here is great and the pictures and collections some of you guys have is simply amazing. Can't wait to get mine going!

Thanks,
Samhain

hey welcome!!! advice for the knife, go with JC or brandon croslin, as well as the prop shop site for a RZ knife, but its a little more pricey.
you can always look for antique/vintage knives on your local classifieds or a pawn shop, good luck and have fun!!

So I have been talkin to Nic and we are gonna get started on a JA75 blank. How might I contact JC to see about finishing it? Can anyone help with sizing? Nik said most people measure their forehead but he seemed to want to compare with another mask to get the size right. He strikes me as a very professional businessman. Great response time, too. Obviously, as my first post was today in regards to getting a NAG! Sorry, I probably should be searching the forum for these answers and I apologize for that. However, I am on my phone and excited to at the thought of a great H1 mask!!

Thanks for the welcome and advice Godzilla
