Those comparison shots are unreal. If the finish had less of a shine, and the hair line was adjusted a tad it would be really hard to tell the difference between the two.

Thank you gentlemen and sweet comparison work Tom!

I actually knocked a lot of the gloss off the mask with a scour pad and after a hair cut and a shave, the mask actually fits me perfectly, so I will have to retract my too small comments. The detail in the mask is phenomenal. After answering several questions via PM, it has come to my attention that a LOT of you gents already have one of these masks on order. This is quickly shaping up to be a popular mask indeed!

Here is a higher quality display shot that is more typical of my current display work. AND a worn shot to prove it actually fits like a glove!

Looks much better Kris

No offense but what's with the heavy gloss on some of his masks?

I believe this is the first proto piece that Nik has put the "gloss" finish on. In the past, Nik has put the gloss finish on his "promo" pieces, but I don't recall seeing any actual production copies with it. The gloss is actually a sealant that Nik put on those particular copies to preserve the finish.

To answer your question Fahad, Nik told me about a chemical solvent that doesn't hurt the latex, but would remove the glossy outer sealant.
