Do you remember the TV show Weird Science (94-97)? Michael Manasseri (who played Wyatt) is the Director, Co-Writer and Producing partner on a new horror film called Sucker. Also, Lloyd Kaufman, Kimberly Kates (Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure) and Monty Bane (Sleep Walkers) are in the film.
Here is where the story starts. Jim Crawley is having a really bad day. He gets fired from his job at the nuclear power plant, his car is impounded and he discovers his wife is having an affair. To make matters worse, Jim gets himself abducted by an evil scientist looking to conduct human testing for a vaccine against a deadly mosquito born virus spreading across the planet. It turns out that years of exposure to nuclear radiation and rabid mosquito DNA don’t mix very well and Jim transforms into a half man-half mosquito, hell bent on revenge.
After I watched the trailer I was surprised. It looks like a solid film that might deliver. Check out the trailer and let me know what you think of it. Do you think it has the potential be as memorable as the Fly?
